Join the Wichita Grand Opera at Downton Abbey on September 19, 2020, for our annual Opera Ball. Be the guest of our Chairman of the Board, Grant (Crawley) Bauserman, and all of the Crawley staff as we celebrate the grand kick-off of the Wichita social season. The Opera Ball is our festive annual fund-raising endeavor that supports our upcoming season of performances. This year’s Opera Ball will take place at the Wichita Marriott, 9100 E. Corporate Hills Drive (it’s not quite the Abbey—but, we promise it will be an evening you won’t forget).

What to Expect

  • Dinner Menu

    Dinner is Served

    Guest will have the choice of the following entrees:

    New World Chicken Wellington Buckingham – Chicken Breast in a puff pastry stuffed with a Bechamel Sauce.

    or

    Sunday Roast – Roasted sliced loin of Beef with Au Jus.

    or

    British breaded eggplant with arugula and parmesan

    Accompanied by

    a Chicory Salad tossed with dried apricots, cranberries, sliced pears, and stilton cheese crumbles with champagne vinaigrette

    Banger and mash with onion sausage gravy

    Oven-roasted fall root vegetables

    Dessert

    English Strawberry Trifle outside the box.

     

  • What to Wear

    While period dress (1912 from 1926) is encouraged it is not required.
