Brian Yeakley
Brian Ross Yeakley Wichita, Kansas native is thrilled to return home performing with Wichita Grand Opera! After achieving his Bachelors Degree at Wichita State University in Vocal Performance (2012), Yeakley moved to Houston, TX to pursue his Masters in Applied Voice (2014) & Artist Diploma in Voice (2020) at University of Houston. After graduating, he performed in Young Artist Programs nationally (Highlights include Wolftrap Opera, Glimmerglass Festival, Opera Saratoga, & Virginia Opera). Since then, Yeakley has laid down roots in Houston, TX where he runs his non-profit opera company, Operativo Houston, producing 2-4 shows annually to increase performance opportunities for local artists in the Houston and Greater Houston areas. Other hats Yeakley wears in Houston include college professor at Lonestar College Kingwood; Staff Musical Theater Music Director with various schools and award winning organizations throughout the Houston area; and freelance regional opera singing/musical theater performer. Roles previously performed with Wichita Grand Opera: Pong in Turandot (2015), Prince Paul in Le Grande Duchesse du Gerolstein (2015), and most recently Little Bat in Susannah (2022). Other credits: Opera Saratoga - Count Almaviva, Il barbiere di Siviglia; Pirelli, Sweeney Todd; Sancho, Man of La Mancha. Swan, Carmina Burana, Jackson Symphony.
