Emily Hamilton
Emily Hamilton is an American coloratura soprano currently based in Wichita, Kansas. Her passion for music was born from a love of languages. This appreciation for languages shows in her performances, as she has performed in sixteen languages, with Czech being the seventeenth. She has performed in a variety of musical styles, from baroque to contemporary, with the latter being an especially fond endeavor. She has performed the world premieres for eight works by composers from various parts of the world.

This is Emily’s debut on the opera stage. Recently, Emily performed in Bernstein’s Candide with the Wichita Grand Opera, as a member of the chorus. She was a participant in the International Music Festival of the Adriatic, where she had the opportunity to perform classical and contemporary works in Italy and Slovenia. At this festival, she performed an opera scene as Almirena from Handel’s Rinaldo.

Emily is a Voice, Bassoon, and Piano Instructor at Palen Music Center. Additionally, she is a Soprano Section Leader at First Presbyterian Church. She is a recent graduate of the Schulich School of Music of McGill University where she obtained her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance under the tutelage of Anja Burmeister and Joanne Kolomyjec.
