Hilary Grace Taylor
Hilary Grace Taylor, mezzo-soprano, is a native of Dallas, Texas and becoming known for her versatility of repertoire and love of contemporary music. Most recently performed roles include Mother/Witch (Hansel and Gretel) and Angie (Pepito) with Chautauqua Opera Company.
Other recent roles include Carmen (Carmen), Mrs. Gross (Turn of the Screw), Taller Daughter (Proving Up), Sappho (Lysistrata), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Marcellina (Le nozza di Figaro), Regina (Regina), Gertrude Stein (After Life by Tom Cipullo), Desirée Armfeldt (A Little Night Music), Dritte Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Giovanna (Rigoletto), Martha (Faust), Indiana Elliot (The Mother of Us All), Principessa (Suor Angelica).
Ms. Taylor was a semifinalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, a finalist in the Mildred Miller International Voice Competition, and a semifinalist in the TCO NEXT: Virtual Voice Competition. Ms. Taylor has been featured with Wichita Grand Opera, Chautauqua Opera Company, Painted Sky Opera, Pittsburgh Festival Opera, Opera Las Vegas, Fort Worth Symphony, and Sacramento Symphony and Opera. 

Ms. Taylor enjoys frequent concert and oratorio performances including the Verdi Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Ms. Taylor holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of North Texas and is Assistant Professor of Voice at Wichita State University.
